Logistic Expansion in Camuna Cavi: A New Milestone Supporting the Group's Growth Objectives

The execution of LAPP Group growth plan continues at full pace. As part of this ongoing journey, we are pleased to announce the launch of a major new phase focused on the redevelopment and expansion of our plant's outdoor areas.

This investment is essential to support the strong turnover growth, particularly in the special cables sector. 

Operating in the project business sector often requires storing large volumes of cables for several months to accommodate third-party inspections, and storage.

To support the capacity expansion, Camuna Cavi was reallocating several square meters of internal space from logistics to production.

Consequently, the existing external logistics space was no longer sufficient, frequently forcing operations to overflow into the parking area and creating a mixed-traffic environment with private employee vehicles.

Thanks to Camuna Cavi’s foresight - having purchased neighbouring green land of 2,000 sqm a few years ago and securing official permits in 2024 to convert it into an industrial area (logistics and parking) - we are now able to fully optimize our facility layout.

1. Logistics Expansion: +1,300 sqm of Operational Area and New Covered Spaces

The core of this phase addresses the growing operational demands of our facility, significantly increasing our handling and storage capacity:

• New External Logistics Area: A total of 1,300 sqm dedicated to logistics, created by integrating 800 sqm from the converted internal parking lot and expanding 500 sqm onto green space.
• Increased Covered Capacity: The installation of 2 new tensile structures providing an additional 230 sqm of covered outdoor space, ideal for storing and handling goods protected from weather conditions.

2. Employee Safety with a New Dedicated Parking Lot

A fundamental pillar guiding is the protection of our workforce. To eliminate risks associated with shared traffic between private cars, operators and heavy trucks and forklifts, we have completely reorganized site parking:

• Elimination of Mixed Parking: The former internal parking area has been removed to dedicate the space exclusively to logistics (storaging and loading) .
• New Private External Parking Lot: A new area of approximately 1,300 sqm dedicated exclusively to employees, offering a capacity of over 50 parking spaces.
• Protection and Separation: The new parking lot is private, separated from the main plant, and fully secured by suitable fencing to guarantee maximum safety for employees and their personal vehicles.

3. Redesign of the Office Front Entrance: Hospitality and Sustainability

To complete this stage of the project, the main facility entrance has also been transformed to provide a more functional, orderly, and eco-friendly welcoming experience. The internal parking area directly in front of the offices has been redesigned to feature dedicated spots for:

• Reserved spaces for disabled individuals and guests.
• Designated bays for quick loading/unloading.
• Company fleet parking equipped with EV charging stations.
